Owner's Message

It's very peaceful here. When you listen to the sound of the ocean waves, and gaze at the endless horizon, you'll feel like you are a million miles away from all of your cares and concerns. There is nothing like being lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf. Come and experience the tranquility of this beautiful location.

We first saw this condo during a business/vacation trip in July of 2003. We looked at a number of condos, including another one in Kuhio Shores, and this one was head and shoulders above the rest. The designer interior was great... but the real selling points were the location and the view... as soon as you walk in the door, you'll say "Wow!".

We knew immediately that no guest would ever be disappointed with it, that we would always be proud to own it. We also suspected that we would get a lot of repeat guests, and referrals from our guests, so that the occupancy rate would be high. Still, we weren't sure it would be a good investment, but because of our sentimental attachment to Kauai (we were married on the island in 1996, and have been in love with it ever since), we decided to go ahead, and we closed on the property in October, 2003. Since then we have loved our annual visits from snowy Michigan.

This oceanfront Kauai Condo is perfect for a Hawaiian honeymoon or a relaxing Hawaiian vacation for a couple. The view from the 4th floor lanai is spectacular... only 25 feet from the shore. We are very proud of this property and know you will just LOVE IT!

We've just returned from a week in paradise, the garden island of Kauai. We were very fortunate to stay at Kuhio Shores, #412 in sunny Poipu. From the minute we arrived this beautiful condo felt like home. It was spacious and the decor was lovely. But it is the view, the magnificent view that captivated us! Wow! Floor to ceiling windows from the kitchen to the living room bring in the ocean surf which is directly below. Our favorite place to begin and end each day was on the lanai. It faces the ocean with views of frolicking sea turtles, surfers and incredible sunsets. Both private and sheltered, we were comfortable lounging on the lanai in our pj's or swimsuits.

There is A/C, but we didn't need it. Just open the windows and cool ocean breezes blow through. We slept well, rarely hearing any noises other than the breeze and the surf. All in all it's a quiet complex. Located right next door is one of the islands most celebrated restaurants, The Beach House. Every evening a small crowd gathers on the lawn and the beach to watch the sunset. Also nearby is the National Tropical Botanical Gardens. We took a tour of the Allerton Gardens there. It was beautiful and fascinating. You'll see the famous trees from the movie Jurassic Park, where they found the dinosaur eggs. Many other movie scenes have been shot there too. It's easy to understand why they chose this setting when you see how lush and tropical it is. Lots to see and do only a few miles from the condo, like: Poipu Beach Park - a snorkeling paradise, Old Koloa Town - fun shops & free internet access at Koloa Coffee Roasters, Poipu shopping and restaurants. We loved the Opah at Keoki's Paradise. We'd return in a heartbeat! This is a true oceanfront accommodation for a very affordable price. Highly recommended!
